Bribie Boho

We acquired this property in early 2022 with the intention of retiring here within the next 5 to 10 years. In the interim, we’ve undertaken renovations to enhance its comfort for ourselves, our family, friends and guests.

It appears the house was originally constructed in the 1970’s as a beachside retreat and underwent further upgrades some years later, including the addition of a ‘rumpus’ room and an extra bathroom. Designed in the bungalow style, a popular choice at the time, the house was constructed using besser blocks for their cost-effectiveness and ease of installation due to their size. Their lack of plastering contributes to excellent insulation against both heat and cold.

With backgrounds in healthcare and disability services, and personal experience with a family member facing challenges, we hope to soon make modifications to cater to some accessibility needs (acknowledging that individual needs may vary). Our beloved 6-year-old Labradoodle, Levi, is an integral part of our family, so we’ve also made adjustments to accommodate your furry companion. 

Our affection for Bribie Island runs deep, having been frequent visitors for several years and our involvement with the Surf Life Saving Club at Woorim on the opposite side of the Island.
